Introduction One of the most modern and successful airports in the world is, no doubt, the Baltimore-Washington International Airport. Simultaneously serving two of America's largest cities, BWI is strategically located in the middle of the Eastern Seaboard.
The Maryland Department of Transportation is also headquartered here as BWI is the crown jewel of the organization and its easy-to-reach location makes it ideal for DOT employees and visitors. Design General Projection was hired by MDOT to design and build a training system for this HQ. Primary emphasis was to be on the ability to easily route and display various computers within the training facility. General Projection installed a large number of wide-screen computer displays that could also operate as presentation displays when a VHS or other video source was required.

The multimedia capabilities of this training center are all operated via an extensive AMX control system designed to make the setup and operation of the training center as painless as possible.
Instructors are able to focus on the training and not on the technology supporting the training. Success BWI is one of the smoothest operating airports in the nation. A large part of this is due to the excellent training programs BWI staff are provided. The multi media training systems installed at MDOT headquarters makes that training even more effective through the use of these successful technologies.
